When the Map Runs Out: What "What's Next" Really Means for Senior Leaders
I had a conversation recently with someone who, on paper, had everything.
A title that took years to earn. A team they were proud of. A salary that reflected their worth. And they sat across from me and said, quietly: I don't know what I'm supposed to want next.
This is one of the most common things I encounter in coaching at senior level. And one of the least talked about.
Because when the map runs out, when the conventional markers of progress are no longer available or no longer meaningful, it can feel shameful to admit. Like you should be grateful. Like you have no right to feel lost.
